IEEE is a world leader in the field of technical standards. In the past, IEEE created standards and watched as other organizations turned them into brands such as Firewire and Wi-Fi. IEEE realized that developing its own brands was a matter of great strategic importance, and could create immediate business benefits for its members, for itself, and ultimately for consumers. TippingSprung has worked with IEEE to brand a family of standards for rechargeable batteries used in devices such as mobile computers, cameras and cellphones. We developed the brand name Livium along with a powerful visual identity and brand architecture that showed how the new name and identity should be used across the family of standards.
