Symbol Technologies, the self-described “leader in enterprise mobility solutions” was acquired by Motorola for $3.9 billion in January 2007. One year prior to this acquisition, TippingSprung was brought on board to help explain the concept of Enterprise Mobility more clearly to key audiences including employees and customers. After a comprehensive program of internal interviews and global customer research, TippingSprung created new messaging guidelines for Symbol’s sales and marketing teams, a new corporate presentation and new copy for Symbol’s Web site.
